Hi, I’m Krista — maker of dreamcatchers, collector of crystals, and pretty much always in the middle of some new idea.

A Tired Dreamer is run from my little farm in Virginia, where I homeschool my kids, make things in between everything else, and somehow ended up with goats, alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats, and a never-ending supply of hay in places hay absolutely should not be.

I’ve always been a maker with my head in the clouds. I like working with my hands, trying new things, collecting pretty little treasures, and turning random ideas into something people can actually take home. That’s really how A Tired Dreamer came to be — one idea, one dreamcatcher, and one “I wonder if I could make that” at a time.

The shop has grown quite a bit since then, as I expanded into my beautiful little storefront at The Marketplace in Sperryville, Virginia, but dreamcatchers are still at the heart of it. These days you’ll also find crystals, yarn, jewelry, clothes, books, astrology-inspired things, gifts, and whatever else I happen to fall in love with along the way.

I’ve never been particularly good at sitting still or sticking to just one thing. I’m an accidental farmer, a night owl, a lifelong daydreamer, and someone who genuinely believes that little things can make life feel a bit more special. A pretty crystal. A handmade piece on your wall. A new skein of yarn and absolutely no plan for what you’re going to do with it yet.

A Tired Dreamer is basically all of that in shop form — a little weird, a little whimsical, a little messy, and made with a whole lot of love.
